This website describes the services offered by Sound Mind Counseling and Wellness. The content here is general information. It is not therapy, coaching, medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation, and reading it does not create a therapist-client or coach-client relationship. That relationship begins only after intake, consent, and scheduling are completed directly with a practitioner.

Not for emergencies

Sound Mind is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Messages sent through this site are not monitored continuously and should never be used to report an emergency.

Scope of service

Therapy is provided online to adults located in Virginia at the time of the session, under the practitioner's license. Coaching is available nationwide and internationally, and coaching is not clinical care: it does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Nothing on this site is an offer to provide therapy outside the states where the practice is licensed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site or its forms to send unlawful, abusive, harassing, or deceptive content;
• submit another person's information without their permission;
• send automated, bulk, or spam submissions through the contact form;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting, or its connected services;
• interfere with the normal operation of the site or the systems behind it.

Intellectual property

The text, imagery, logo, layout, and design of this site belong to Sound Mind Counseling and Wellness or are used with permission. You may read, print, and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Reproducing, republishing, or using the content commercially without written permission is not permitted.

Scheduling and payment

Booking and billing are handled in CarePatron, not on this website. Session rates, package terms, cancellation expectations, and payment are governed by the agreements you receive from the practice and by CarePatron's own terms.

Third-party links and services

This site links to and embeds third-party services, including CarePatron for scheduling. Those services are operated by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. Sound Mind Counseling and Wellness does not control them and is not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

Accuracy and availability

The practice works to keep this site accurate and current, but the content is provided as-is and may change without notice. The site may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside the practice's control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sound Mind Counseling and Wellness is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or from reliance on its general information. This does not limit any responsibility owed to you under a signed client agreement or under applicable professional and licensing standards.
