Her path

From behavior science to Bible-based coaching.

Heidi’s path into coaching began with a simple question: how do you help someone move from where they are to where they are meant to be?

She earned her BA in psychology from Kent State University and a master’s in clinical psychology from Cleveland State University. Early in her career she worked in schools as a school psychologist, evaluating children for special education eligibility, while also conducting psychological evaluations and mental health counseling under the direction of PhD psychologists.

That work led her to applied behavior analysis. With a research background in behaviorism, she found ABA brought together the science she had trained in and her commitment to children with disabilities. She completed a graduate certificate in behavior analysis, relocated to accrue the required field hours, and earned her BCBA credential in 2018.

From there she moved into clinical leadership. She served as clinical director of an agency running both clinic-based and in-home services, then joined a Virginia provider as state director in 2021, overseeing ten sites across both service lines. Today she continues consulting as a BCBA while building her coaching practice.

Her move into coaching was intentional. After years of helping people manage mental health challenges and disabilities, she wanted to focus on helping people reach their goals. She sought out a Bible-based path specifically, and now trains through a faith-based leadership program in conjunction with her certification board.

Heidi’s coaching centers on helping people identify their God-given gifts, define clear goals, map the steps to reach them, and stay accountable along the way. She is especially drawn to the seasons where the plan does not unfold the way you expected, and helping people move forward with purpose in the waiting.
